Need advice on a Burb im buying

You'll have some explaining to do to the boss on monday. He wasn't too thrilled about you calling in sick today to make a drive to buy another vehicle (at least that's what he told me when I asked him for your job today). I swore to him I would NEVER do such a thing. :D

Just kidding man, so where are the OWNER pics at?

Happy days. Now you just gotta save up for the trailer
YEEEEP, Then i can start on the wheeler :haha:

Congrats man :D

I told him i had some personal business to take care of at a gas station on the way up :waytogo:. Pics will come tomorrow.

Schedule to grab this thing was hectic, In the last 42 hours i got 2 hours of sleep. Drove the thing home and stopped at my cousins house which isnt in a great area so i dropped it off at home and took my dodge back over here. It has a car alarm which is kinda cool but at the same time annoying as **** since ive never dealt with one and it wont let me start the car if i dont hit the right buttons and whatnot, A old viper alarm. All power windows work great. Cruise control works great to my suprise, big block pulls unlike anything i have ever owned and its already got wiring and a isolator switch for a 2nd battery with a dead battery in its 2nd spot. Something cool is it already comes with a trailer brake controller and a weight distribution hitch :D

Here's the list of problems to be dealt with
1.The rig wont reach a proper operating temp or i have a bad gauge. It read like 120-130 all the way home and he said he couldnt get it warmed up before smog but it still passed with ease. The radiator was a few inches low and the coolant resevoir was empty. Added some at a gas station about a mile after leaving. Had no running issues or cooling issues the whole trip and the motor was not running poorly at all. I'm thinking stuck open thermostat so ill swap that out for a new 180*

2.Passenger side door lock wont engage and the little top piece on the door you use to lock/unlock is not attached to anything, So gotta take that apart and see what the issue is.

Everything else is cosmetic that i can think of, Which btw it looks amazing! Hoping i made a good decision this time on a tow rig that will serve me well with a little care.

do not go with 180, get a 193 or 195 thermostat, it will make your engine happy.

X2 on the T-stat. FI rigs run the most efficiently at 195 or so. A cooler T-stat will only make them use more fuel.

All further burb discussion can go onto the burb build thread which is a recovery of the 84 burbs thread :haha: . Link is in my sig and i already added pics of me changing the T-Stat as well as some sweet body pics and specs.
