Need help finding my Blazer

Congrats on getting your old rig back. That's very cool. I sure wish I could find some of my old vehicles!!

Let the fun begin!

Quick update...

My brother, my friend and I brought it home from Newport NC to Atlanta yesterday. It totalled to about a 20 hour trip.

About a month ago the guy who owned it told me he would sell it to me for 6500 as it sat but at the time I didn't really want to invest that much in it so I told him no. Last week he was driving his car and got blind sided by someone trying to beat a red light and totalled his car so he emailed me and told me to make an offer on it because he needed money for a new car. I just sent him back an offer of 4500 and held my breathe. Just about an hour later he emailed me back and took the deal. Awesome! So I got it for 4,500 cash and couldn't be happier.

It's in WAY worse shape than when I sold it but that's to be expected 10 years later living near the ocean for 8 of those years. I have a lot of plans for it but for now it needs maintenance and a tune up. It has some new rust but nothing major that can't be fixed so I'm happy with it.

I went through it today and am amazed about how the same it really is. I even found my insurance card from 2000 in the glove box and it still has the same plugs ans plug wires I put in it 10 years ago haha.

I'll post some more pics soon ans thanks to everyone for the encouraging comments and all the help. Especially Scottishdave for the "research" .

I'll start a build thread soon but first I've got to work on getting body and paint done. It should keep me busy for a few years haha

Since this was near the "beach" it falls under my jurisdiction....as Amity's finest I need to ask a few questions to ascertain exactly what happened here.
Is the vehicle that "blindsided" him registered to either you or one "Scottishdave"?
Did anybody else see this?
Exactly what kind of "research" was this?

Oh I know there's never been these kind of troubles near these waters....but Polly's printing is on the wall....

I've got to call the Mayor...

Oh...I see....you yell Toyota and everybody goes.."Huh...What"?....you yell Blazer!....and you got a panic on your hands on the 4th of February....
I got Mr. Hooper from the Oceanographic Institute over in Wood's Hole...He says he needs to measure the width of the grill marks on the victim....:haha:

Sweet job getting the rig and now the fun begins! Mine was also WAY worse than when I originally sold it but it's great to rebuild everything (as budget allows). I also found a lot of thing I installed 10+ years ago, too. The Rancho 5000 shocks, the tach I put in the blank spot in the dash, etc......

Get a budget set up and then prioritize. Get it safe to drive first.....brakes, tires, balljoints, driveline joints. Then start working on the interior.

Again, congrats and the memories are going to be running! It's so fun!

I appreciated it. That was awesome as far as movie references go. :haha:

Rancho 5000's That was the shock of the decade back in the 90's:rolleyes:
Hahahahahahaha...yep.

I took the 60-70,000 mile Bilstein HD's out of my '92 Blazer K1500 with the Z71 suspension and replaced them with Rancho 5000's...and instantly thought something was amiss. Found out not much later that I had basically paid $50 for white and red Monroe truck shocks that went for $20 at parts stores. Also went from nitrogen charged monotubes to hydraulic twin tubes.:doah:
