Need help with supercharging a 6.2

So I called vortech again to double check on the right pulley size, the tech guy told me that for every .1 in size = 1 psi. So I stopped by 4wp ordered a 2.75 pulley and that means, 3.47-2.75= .7, 7+2= 9psi at 2000rpm should be perfect! Now I just have to suffer waiting 3 days for it to get here ha.

Should run pretty good with 9lbs at 2000. Do you happen have any pictures of your setup?

So I was told my pulley would be at the store in three days and over a week later it finally arrived. And when I ask the guy who ordered it for me how come it took way longer then he told me, he tells me that's how long it normally takes. I will never understand some people, why tell me three days if you know its going to be at least a week. Sorry for the little rant, its just irritating.

So after making a bunch of trips to different part stores to find a belt that fit, I finally fired it up and to make it worse there's almost no difference. I'm now up to 3psi@2000rpm and my max is 6@3000ish. So I'm at a loss, any ideas?
Thanks for all the help so far guys, I forgot to mention that earlier. I really appreciate it.:D

Well, You could try a smaller pulley, but you could also try and see if you have any air leaks, it sounds as if you are not sealed quite right yet.
Did you drive it or just rev it by the way, because for some reason, under load they seem to develop more boost I noticed.
Since you have it in I say drive it see how you like it and see if it goes up any more.

I tried to check for leaks last night but it was getting a kinda dark and my bubble mix wasn't as bubbly as i wanted, so I'm going to try again tonight but my uncle asked me if I could use something like wd40 instead of the soapy water like you would on a gas motor looking for vacuum leaks or is soapy water the best way to check?

I took it for a bit of a test drive last night and under load it doesn't change. Its a tad quicker but fourth and fifth gear the egts peg fast!

Well unfortunately with air pressure, the only thing that does work is soapy mix.
And yeah if your EGT is peggin, you need more air.

Got a good soapy mix going and nothing, no leaks. I guess tomorrow I'll call Vortech again and see if they can tell me something I'm missing.

I called Vortech again today and they told me I was on my own. There superchargers don't work well off of low rpms, he said I'd have to get a 15" crank pulley to do what I wanted it to do. I did some math and if i got a custom SC drive pulley in the 1.75ish area it'd spin pretty close to what a 15" would but I might as well spin the belt on the shaft and call it good.:haha:

Well there is another way:
get an intermediate shaft and double up your rpm's

The lower pulley I have now is their biggest at 8" and there is only one pulley smaller for the upper than what I have now. Changing from my 2.75 to their smallest 2.50 would only spin my SC 3000 rpm faster which they say wont make any difference. I may have a lead on someone who can custom build a pulley but I'm sure they're going to want a small fortune to do it. So if that doesn't work out I may have to start looking into turbos or something else.

Bagh! I know just what he is talking about but I can't explain it on my phone! Gotta Google a pic! It's killing me!

Just imagine if your belt went to a small pully that was connected by a shaft to a big pully. And that pully went to the super charger. So this way, rather than just big to small pully, you would have big to small-big to small.

Similar to this!

That pics awesome thanks, when I thought about it more last night and had a feeling that was what he was talking about. I just am not sure where I could set something up like that on my motor, its kinda crowded but I'll check today and see.
