Fixed my problem, new water pump...new radiator...drove it down to uwharrie which was 2 hours away with no problems at all, motor ran like a champ, unfortunately did not get a chance to get an pics or videos of crawling and since this is literally my first offroad adventure i took it a little easy besides this MUD HOLE which was mighty deep, but for the trucks sake, she did make it thru the hole but the back tires couldnt get all the way thru it, had to back it out, then found out that my fan had came off into the radiator, so onto round 2 with radiator, lifetime warranty gotta love it

oh and the 1st pic is when me and my buddy got a little paint happy with our buddies jeep, he didnt see it till we hit the trail haha :thumb:

That sucks! Was it an aluminum water pump? Maybe you should go with an iron one. I had the same thing happen to a Dodge truck I had. It was caused by the clutch that was on the fan getting worn out and wobbling the impeller around and breaking the aluminum water pump when the revs got high. I ditched the clutch fan and put a regular flex fan on there and it never happened again.

Fixed it Number 2 or 3

New radiator new fan and clutch and was all set to drive back home

last pic was the mud hole, my buddies f250 wasnt high enough got some water down in the intake and had to get pulled out, i on the other hand took the other side which was about 6 inches deeper and luckily was just high enough

Yeah, it's your clutch for the fan. My clutch fan that was worn out broke two water pumps and trashed my radiator twice before I figured it out. Get a flex fan. Also, hitting some water at high revs can suck the fan into the radiator too.

not sure what kind of water pump it was but my harmonic balancer was out of balance and caused the belt to come off

merry christmas to myself, new tires and wheels

went to pick up some 37 goodyear military radials, and had my 2 new recentered H1's from trailworthyfab, awesome job btw

was never really a fan of that anyways, bought it like that and never got around to taking it off

I thought it looked pretty stupid, but I didn't want to say anything. There used to be this black guy that drove around town with some huge blingin' rims and low profile tires on an old Cutlass or something. He had these stickers in the same spot on his fenders that said "22's Bitch".:pimp: Maybe he was tired of folks asking. I always laughed when I saw him.

Nice K5 dude! Looks like you are making progress at least.

Sucks about things breaking like that though! Man, fan into radiator can't be fun in the woods.

yeah used to live in greenville nc, caprices galore with 24" stickers, i think im about done spending money on this thing until something breaks, need to get the heat working too with all this snow

I say let it sit until spring. When it starts to warm up and everyone's hitting the trials, you'll be ready to get out there too. I've let my truck sit for several weeks before after something breaks and I get tired of messing with it or run out of money.

cant let it sit, im loving driving this thing, it runs like a champ, only problem is it has a very bad idle half the time, and just goes real low like an injector isnt working properly but havent had time to fix that or my front grill as the lights are being held on by zip ties lol

went muddin this past sunday on a guys land that ran by some power lines and sewer lines, didnt get any pics of the mud holes or trails

decided to go with a 2-tone rhino lined paint job after i saw a whole toyota FJ cruiser with this, looked very sweet so i thought id try just a little for myself, love the way it turned out too

the military radials ride amazing on the street a little slick in the mud but still didnt get stuck, was able to do about 85 mph on the highway there and still comfortable, atleast thats switching from boggers, still kinda missing the boggers off road but need some money so selling them anyways
