Never been to Moab. What is my truck capable of?

cucvnut...have you been out? a m1008 is a little better equipped than my m1009, but I should do alright. Ive ran a few trails out here and shes far more capable than she looks. But I only have the Detroit locker...Any other cucvs been to a bb or are any going this time around?

I'm sure ill have a blast. maybe I'll make it down before just to know what I can get away with. I have a strong history of going a little to far. Plus it will be a good way to spend my birthday weekend.

I gotta get say..... I don't know what the military stuff is nor do I want/need to remember. My brain holds very little.

Just tell us blazer or truck, 1/2 3/4 or 1 ton axle, suspension. lol

3/4 ton, 10 bolt 3.08:1 axles (dana 40 I believe), rear eaton auto differential lock, 6.2 diesel, 3 speed auto tranny. will have 4 inch lift and 33 inch tires, should give me ground clearance of around 20-23 inches (frame to ground).

Here are 3 M1009 I've run trails with at Blazer Bash.

If you have never been to Moab, you'll just be amazed by how beautiful the scenery is. You're going to be ecstatic about every trail out there. I ran Fins and Things twice just because of how beautiful it was and because we camped at the entrance. Don't worry about trying to get out to the hardest trails.

I ran ten bolts with 3.08s and I'm sure if you're nice to them you'll be fine. Of course Wade can tell you how slow I drive off road. It's amazing how everything they call slip rock grips like crazy. If you are used to actual slippery rock, there is traction for days.

My low oil light came on in Moab, and I had never even seen it before. The hills are steep, but the 6.2 is a perfect match for them.

I've been a few times, just never with my own rig. I'm looking forward to it every day.
