I've chanced driving my truck to the ORV park a few times with no issues but I know it's a matter of time until I break. It's 2 1/2 hours from my house. Picking this up next week. It's a '63 Ford F600. Only has 32,000 miles. One owner. It's ridiculously clean. 292 motor and 5 speed w/ two speed rear. Going to pull the sides off and run it as a flatbed to haul my CUCV and general use around the acreage such as hauling round bales, logs loaded with the loader, etc. Got it for free, kind of. Did some work on a car for him and we swapped labor for the truck.
Fortunately when they drove it home it ran out of gas as it's been sitting a couple of years. Threw 5 gallons into it and it only took three dribbles in the carb until it caught and then it ran and idled perfectly. The only issue is the fuel pump is shooting fuel out the side so I'll pick up a fuel pump this week. Didn't want to chance driving it home with fuel possibly shooting out on the manifold.
