Ok see how this might pull a boat or car trailer on a rare occasion i should go with a little bigger (lower gears). Thanks for the help.
 
So how do you guys think about diy4x motor mounts. Im try to keep a 5.3 4l60e combo in the same spot as the 6.2 thats in it now.

Their competition poly ones or the adapter plates to to use the older style mounts on the LS engines? I've got the poly mounts in my 78 and absolutely love them
 
Did you get to keep the motor and tranny in the same spot as the original? I only looked at the monting plate.
 
All factory, mines just a tired old 400 so stock everything. I am going to use Kerts mounts if I get around to an LS swap
 
Ok thanks. I am planning on using diy4x monting plates but just dont know what route i have to take to keep factory locations.
 
Have any of you guys trued to redo the ls harness yet? I think im going to give it a try! Ive been looking at lt1swap.comand ls1truck.com and think i could tackle it.
 
So i was playing with a gear calculator and I think 4.56 with the 4l60e is going to put me close to where you guys are saying i need to be.
 
Yeah life stepped in and forced the sale of it. But one day I will have another! Sorry.
