I fixed the first carnage from last year, the broken tailgate latch. I also replaced the handle screws. Whoever decided Phillips head screws were needed there...
After that, I started on the overdue winch install.
Winch mounting day. Installing the Engineered Vintage behind the bumper mount in the low, upright configuration. This requires cutting into the core support for winch clearance, but it is the strongest way to go without the winch hanging down exposed. I still need to finish the wiring, control box, and fairlead.
I also realized I didn't need to cut up the lower valance after the winch made it in place, so I dug out a spare and did a quick scuff and painted it with CARC green.
I will send you some pics and warnings for your instructions on this mounting orientation. I think it is the best install orientation for a wheeler, but probably not a nice truck.
