Oh, I have fallen in love, and out, and I'm now thinking of cheating and a divorce. :D If not at the very least some spousal abuse if she is ever trail ready!

yeah.... that all happens, until you see how dirty she's willing to get for you and then all that dissapears :haha:

So, lucky me, no broken bolt in #8 exhaust port. I installed new gaskets and bolts. I figured right. Loose bolts.....................

AND speaking of loose bolts.......... I decided to do my front brakes and re-route the brake lines (P.O> routed them under the frame to keep from buying drop lines) and install the braided drop lines today.

Left side: Lower caliper mounting eye that the bolt goes through was broken off. About 1/4 of it was still there, basically the part that IS the caliper. BOTH the mounting bolts were hand tight. Something happened up here since when I put on the new 3/4 ton caliper (I had to grind a little bump off the inside so it would fit and not hit the carrier) the bolts would not line up. After much bending and massaging with my tap-o-meter (read Big F*ckin Hammer!) I was able to get the bolt slide pins through and started.

Right side: Top caliper mounting bolt was backed out all the way and held in by the tension of the caliper moving around, the lower caliper bolt was tight, but somehow the pin part was broken! EEKK! I got new bolts and this side went together like cake. Installed the lines and bled them out.

One problem I have still is it darts to the right under braking you correct it and it will be ok. It has always done this, I swapped tires in the front left to right and checked air pressure 30 PSI. I need to get the tape measure out and check my toe. Everything in the front end feels tight, so I will start there. Any ideas?

for the pulling while braking, it sounds like it could be a few things. i would check the front pads, mic the front rotors, and maybe check the proportioning valve.

Well the rotors were good and clean, still had plenty of meat. I put new pads and calipers on the front today, still there. I thought the proportioning valve was only front to rear not side to side? The right front tire (direction its pulling) is cupping pretty bad so I think its an alignment issue (hopefully).

other thing it could also be, is a sticking caliper. when you swapped pads, did you file the "sliding" surfaces of the caliper and such so they were bare metal and apply the silocone lube to keep the parts sliding back and forth easily. if rust builds up the caliper can get "stuck" so one side reacts slower than the other, if at all. which would pull the truck to one side.

I cleaned the contact surfaces and used hi-temp anti-seize. They slide back and forth with ease.

It will pull on INITIAL application of brake. If I correct it with steering input and leave the same brake pressure, it will track perfectly straight.

BTW, where is a good place to score some H1 beadlocks? I noticed you got some seemingly cheap in your sig....
