Local dealership took it in on Trade. So I sold them my 2018 Jeep Wrangler and bought it. I guess all my vehicles need to be projects.

1984 Chevrolet K5 Blazer 4x4
355ci V8
700R
10 Bolt front
10 bolt rear ( maybe getting swapped one tons front and rear)
Power windows, door locks, AC, ect...

Plenty of work to do, but I don't have $38k in debt on the Jeep anymore.

Welcome

I haven’t heard of or seen a K5 sold at a regular car lot in a long time. That’s pretty sweet!!

welcome!

Thanks everyone. It was a right place at the right time kinda deal. I was picking up the plates for my wifes 4Runner. Looked out the window of the dealership and saw the Blazer. my buddy is the sales manager so I asked him about it. He said they took it and two other vehicles on trade from an older gentleman. Me being me I asked if t was for sale. Then asked if he wanted to buy my Jeep. Yes and Yes. done deal.

Picked up the title paperwork yesterday. It has just over 90k original miles.

Nice looking rig right out of the gate. Way jealous of the sliding rear windows...

Now time for a winch and some recovery gear, lockers, some KC Daylighters...

Very nice

Yes sir. Looking at Dana 60's, or just saying why not. For the cost I can build 14 bolts. LOL
I have a 12b rear with a factory Eaton and Dana 44 open front in the Jimmy and it does what I want. I had a 14b in my C20 and I beat the snot outta that truck towing stuff that I really shouldn't have and foot to the floor in the mountains and never had one problem with the rearend. Ever.

12b in mine too. If I had been wiser I would've future proofed it and slapped a 1ton in that sucker but live and learn. It hasn't done me wrong by any means, but I know I'm gonna move on to bigger and better eventually.

I found a King Pin Dana 60 bare front housing. For the couple hundred more I can get a newly tubed 14 bolt bare front steering axle. 14 Bolt full Floater for the rear with Disc. They are just easy to find.
I just want to over build this truck. I have no plans for a car payment again.
This Blazer is a one and done for me. I have been thinking about rebuilding my old 454 BBC and fining a 4L80e. My drive to and from work is 10 min down the interstate or 25-30 min through town. I want to build this rig out to where I can drive it where ever I want.

Wow, nice move.

You might regret that move after hanging out here a while. We like to encourage bad decisions. So one tons, big block and a 4l80 are all good ideas.

Look at ORD for some links and coilovers too.
