New PitBull Tires Introduced

We will have a 33x1250 in the Growler out in December.

We will have a 38.5x1350 in the Maddog next summer. This will be a skinnier tire.

We will have a 37x1350-16.5, 17, 18 & 20 in the Growler next summer as well.

exelent

i guess by the look of the tred patterns that a very narrow tire would impact the tred desine and function too much.

so you wouldent be makeing "pizza cuters" like 35 or 38x 11 or 12.50?

price and avail.

planning on buying setof4, Rocker 16x39.5 I have seen large diff. in price depending on dealer. Prob. will be going with shaker, unless your price is better. :D

okay

I tell you what...when we have larger tires made...make sure you remind me and I'll come down and test my tires on a trail with you.

is this a hint that the bigger sizes are on there way? :D

hahahaha

The truth is that we are working on a whole bunch of stuff and it's a matter of which trigger do we pull right now.

We are definitely coming out with 33x1250 Growlers this winter...especially a 33x1250-16 10 ply rated tire for the 3/4 and 1 ton guys...more of a workhorse tire. But...the 33 Growlers will be good for those guys who complained that our 33"x1350 Rockers were too wide too tall.

As for larger sizes...in the 42 and higher range...still a ways away right now. We will have them though...

sounds good

let me know when they are ready, and i'll test a set out in this mississippi gumbo for you :D go ahead and beat the iroks out and make like a 50/20/16.5, 17 ,18 ,20...i like the 16.5's or maybe even a 15...i'll grind my calipers a little..take care, make good tires and unseat the reigning king

How do the Rockers do in mud? Street life? Noise?
My rig is a heavy DD that goes through water, over rocks, through mud, and over pavement. I am looking at some 37-39" tires for a 16" rim in the 12.50-13.50 range. What would you suggest. Other than highway, rocks would be the trucks home away from home. Would the rockers be best, or another kind? I pass by a retailer of the tires on my way home every day.
TIA
Leper

I am ordering my 37X13.50X16 Rockers today from Expertoffroad in Plano Tx. Are these availiable right now? About how long should shipping take on a normal order?

tires

I've just quoted them on freight...waiting to hear back from them. As soon as they give the okay...I'll ship them out. Three days shipping to them. If they go out tomorrow...by next Tuesday at the latest.

Mike

I'm going by there after work today. I hope I like them. I still have never seen one in person. I am picking up my dana 60 on Saturday, and it will probably take me a week to get the D60 and the 14FF installed so Tuesday is fine.

pssst the first pirate link no worky.

i was thinking the other day, about the maddog, and remembered that you said the tires have exelent floatation, what has your testing show about driving on road in snow at speeds?

i was asking about skinyer tire because in snow they cut down more, i am conserened about a heavy DD with a tire that floats too much, what do you think?

growler

I'd say if you want a tire for snow...go with the Growlers over the Maddogs.

They are a bit skinnier and tests have shown them to be a more road friendly tire for every day use. Plus tests have shown them to be an awesome snow tire.

We will have 33x1250s this winter...not sure exactly when though. And our 33x1250-16 will be a 10ply for workhorse applications.

My 39.5x16.50x16 Rockers came in Thursday. BFT!!! Not 39.5 tall like the spec sheet said, but tall. Wider than the spec sheet said at 17.00. Tires look good, but I don't think they look like they will do more than about 5K on the street. Will they??? I hope they fit my truck.

...

Air pressure and rim size will affect the height.

As for getting more than 5K out of them on the road...read some of the reviews from guys out there that I've linked on our website. 20,000 or more already with only about 3/32nds wear...

You'll be happy with them...just make sure you adjust the air pressure and rotate the tires.

Sweet!!!! What air pressure should they be for the street. I see that max inflation is 45 psi, but that seems like alot for street use. Leeme know.
