New project and my 1st K5

how can you not keep it, you have to, it's my laptops desktop!
updates!!

Guess I have to keep it then! Got some paint lined up...think I'm gonna do synergy green (2010 camaro green) on the hood and roof and the rest will be matte black...we'll see though! Took it wheeling for the first time with the top and doors off, was suprised at how much that roof flexes and pops, but she did well...even pulled a jeep a few times! Been driving my ladies truck though mostly as a dd, the more and more I drive the blazer the more I realize how many problems it actually has...but I guess that can be expected from a vehicle thats 26 years old, just wish I had the money to replace everything I want to now!

nah
take your time and work on what's most important first
and yeah, the roof pops like crazy, even with the shell on, kinda worries me about cracking the shell.

Do you have electric doors or manual? I want to pull mine, but need some disconnects for the wiring.

Theyre electric doors, I'm gonna put them back on tomorrow and just use some male/female connectors so I can more easily take them on/off, also gonna pull all the carpet...not sure if Ima put the top back on or not yet for monsoon season or just remove the rear seat...

Well I ended up not putting the doors back on....and driving home in the rain the other day...and to my suprise stayed pretty dry! The front tires dont stick out too far so most of the water hit the front fender and bounced out, but there was some hitting the door jam and splashing on my side, but not enough to get soaked so I'm thinkin she'll stay topless!

Picked up my parts shipment from alaska yesterday, filled the whole bed of the truck with parts from the 83 I sold, wont use most of it but will use the hood and fenders and a few others.

parts are good, my whole garage floor is held down with parts:doah:

and I like that paint scheme, flat black with finished green, ooooooo

Thinkin soon about choppin the whole top off and runnin just lap belts, and narrowing the front clip...relatively inexpensive to do both!

wow, that's extreme. you were talking about getting rid of it just the other day, I guess you only want to keep half of it? haha

you can look into the conversion stuff for making half tops...full tops.

Yeah if I'm gonna keep it I may as well...I have a goal in mind and I wanna start taking some steps in that direction!
