New quad

That intake has sucked into the seat and the exhaust isn’t seating at all.

The intake valve was really tight when I got the thing so that one didn't surprise me. I thought about it more while I was at the gym and decided to just buy new valves. New valves and seals, $19 shipped. These quads are so cheap to work on. Makes me rethink building a blazer.
Hopefully the seats are ok.

Well I’m not dumping anymore money in it. I paid $200 for it and I’m about $570 at this point including the quad. Used seat was $200! It’s either going to run right after this or it’s getting sent down the road and I’ll buy her a better one.

Nothing is ever simple. Got the bore honed and went to put the new piston in and nope. It’s .5mm larger than the old one. So now I get to buy some hones and work that out.

For sure. Glad I decided to replace them. Now if I can just get this cylinder enlarged to fit the piston, I’ll be golden. Bet some valve lapping compound on the stones would make it go quicker haha.

The spring pressure on the 3 finger hone is probably a little light. Be sure to keep the hones clean, while cutting.

I had the pressure maxed out with the drill set at 600rpm. Kept putting oil on it. They were only 220 grit stones. Got some medium ones in today I’m going to put in.
