Im the outlier here with not one, but two spectra radiators from rock auto arrived ok.
I don't think any of the old radiator shops we used to have here are around any more either...when the old timers who ran them died, retired or sold the business, that was "it" as far as getting your old one rec-ored or rodded out,or soldered..
On the American Pickers show they had an episode where they picked an old radiator shop in CA,and a few years later, they returned after they heard the father who ran the place passed away, and the son sold them some stuff--they had OEM radiators all the way back to the 1900's in stock and I recall the guy saying Jay Leno was one of his customers..they were selling off and scrapping everything, seemed sad to see a business that had been there so long go away..
Hate to say it but those Champion radiators don't last. They are bad. It sucks because they look real nice but it will be leaking in a year. Try and get your money back, not just a new one. We just changed out one in my buddys 89' burb for the fourth time last friday. They have all failed where the tubes meet the side tank. Other guys here have had bad luck too. I have the number for the warranty lady at champion when you need it.
reason I stayed with brass, both the rad and heater core. all cast iron in the engine. Distilled water and coolant only.try grounding the tank. I had the same problem (griffin and Entropy)and that fixed it. Entropy started installing grounded electrodes after working with me in diagnosing it and testing. Electrolysis stinks.
How?try grounding the tank. I had the same problem (griffin and Entropy)and that fixed it. Entropy started installing grounded electrodes after working with me in diagnosing it and testing. Electrolysis stinks.
Find a place on the radiator to screw a ground wire into. If you have an automatic, the trans cooler lines will often do it as well as long as the trans is grounded. Just measure the voltage between radiator and the negative battery cable. It should be 0V.How?
Stay away form this ebay seller he does not respond and is a smart ass when he does respond

Step one should be to file a claim on eBay. Otherwise you’re just delaying the whole process. Secondly, the shipper usually has to file the damage claim with the shipping company therefore it’s the sellers responsibility.
Try az pro performance they sell those exact radiators.Stay away form this ebay seller he does not respond and is a smart ass when he does respond
