Side note, I really want to paint this thing. Thinking of trying to do it this summer. We'll see. Im thinking i want to try out the summit paint. They have a single stage color that is a near perfect match to the original russet brown,
And they have all the reducers/hardeners for a reasonable price as well. I would probably be looking in the $450-$550 range for all the paint/supplies i think.
Hardner. Im guessing i want fast? Seems like i have heard that somewhere? Maybe medium is better for a beginner?
They are aftermarket. My dad bought them in '89 right after he bought the suburban. They have been back forth between the burb and this truck for the past few years. These wheels are going back on the burb and this truck is getting stock style white steel wheels.
Latest and greatest outloud thought/idea. I wanna do a 4" TC EZ ride lift, 36x12.5r16 SuperSwamper TSL Radials on 16x8 "rock crawler" wheels. Disc brakes in the rear. And the willwood D52 calipers and hydroboost. Also cross over steering and a tna fab trac bar.
