New shop build.

It's kind of hard to see. But yah no floor heat.

The floor we graded to 5.5 but after compaction ended up around 5.75.

When I measured last night 5.5 was the minimum thickness but only in a couple spots it's mostly 5.75 thick.

Money and time decided alot on this pour.

My buddy helping switched jobs and therefore his schedule switched. So it kind of pushed it back.

Well the next time he could have come help was too late to pour. So it had to be this week or next spring

Just a little constructive observation.....The rebar should be off the ground and in the middle ( Or slightly lower ) of the center of the concrete. At your 5.5", it should be 1-1/2" - 2" off the ground.

Yah we got a little lazy there at the edge but it's actually still off the ground. Lifting it as we pour.
That's the way we used to do it when I did part time concrete. I couldn't tell in the night time pic if you had 2x4s or 2x6s framing it but now I see. I'm gonna cheat and make sure the next house I buy already has a shop so I don't have to come up with the time or money to build one.

Why did you decide against running pex?

Martin

Biggest reason really is the fact that I cant really bend down to lay it out. In addition to the fact that I lost basically a month to my head being bad.

So basically my health put me behind schedule enough to force my hand. So I get what I get.

And I am pretty dang happy
