Should be working on it again saturday. I sent him links for lifter and pushrods. Need to see about springs yet.

Good to know about the TBI 454....Ill have to look into it, I know there pretty easy to find. My brother has an 89 and he's not thrilled with the power that it puts out...Ill have too look up numbers but my dads 2001 6.0 out pulls my brothers 7.4. I thought about going the 6.0 route but the smog requirements here suck! Currently I dont require any smog equip on my truck except air, and thermostatic air cleaner, not cats etc. So I may stick with a 454 from the same year range, and then do an aftermarket injection after its refereed!

I have never driven a lq4 that is any more than complete meh. Pretty weak suck.

Notice I said lq4. I had a Lq9 and it was twice the engine of a lq4. Pulled a 10k camper all day at 80+mph. Most people end up with lq4s since that is the most common. As for in a Caddy the crappiness of the rest of the vehicle wrecks the wonderfulness of the Lq9.

I worked in a Gm dealership. Caddy=crap we had 10 times the problems with them then we did with all the other lines combined. Mine was a silverdo with a vortec max.
