New UAV rear bumper pics

Wow. Looks like you could fit 42's in the rear as wide open as that is............../forums/images/icons/cool.gif.

Awesome transformation continues..............

Funny, looks like your gas tank (or at least the skid plate) is the first thing that will be affecting your departure angle.

Yeah, I have a light just didn't get a chance to mount it yet.

Hmmm - 42's

In the 6 1/2 years I've had my Blazer, the only thing I've been pulled over for was a burned out license plate light. Of course the cop was out looking for drunks at 2 AM and I don't think he even noticed the light untill after he stopped me.

PS is that Aurora?

No kidding that's what I was thinking, that looks like Plano. They got a big stamp they make houses with, house, house, house, variety comes in 4 choices or so.

No kidding... those houses all look about the same right there.... there's subdivisions out here like that. We all joke some drunk guy coming home at 3am would be so screwed trying to recall what place was his! /forums/images/icons/laugh.gif

BTW Steve... is that solid tube or hollow... and what thickness... ?

The bumper looks good. Can you do me a favor and get a measurement from the bottom of the center part to the ground? I would like to do something like that but I have to put up with the bumper hight laws here and they do enforce them./forums/images/icons/frown.gif

Three kinds of subdivisions in Colorado - Cookie cutter (mine), Slum (don't want), and custom (can't afford and they are still close together).

BigBad,

Yeah......but UAV might not still be parked out front when he wakes up in the morning!!!! /forums/images/icons/shocked.gif

Sold it three months ago.

Yah, it does suck Shaggy, the law is 30" but the guy that does my inspection will let me go to 36" but if I get pulled over he is not responsible./forums/images/icons/smile.gif

i hear ya, im in tight with most of the inspection places around here, (i deliver to them for work) so I can probably get away with pretty much anything, but like you said, they clain no knowledge if i get busted.

looks awesome SF. I will prolly steal some of your ideas for my rear bump.

I am thinkig that on the corners, where it bends around to protect the sheet-metal behind the wheel well, I will add some 1/4" plate that would look sorta like a BEEFY gusset on the inside of the bend, but it would actually be there so I could bolt some removable tail-light / corner protection that would run up and stop just above the tail lights. Prolly use smaller but perhaps thicker tube for the light-pro part. I think it would work pretty well... I'll have to get on autoCAD to work it all out first tho...

31 1/2" from the ground, here in Colorado I don't even need a rear bumper /forums/images/icons/smile.gif
I got to looking at my bumper tonight and the wrap around part is made from 1-1/4" SOLID stock. /forums/images/icons/smile.gif
