newbie looking for input on 74-75's

Re: newbie looking for input on 74-75\'s

full 'vertible top is the only way to go/forums/images/icons/smile.gif! I have a lot of money invested in mine, but to me it's well worth it. It's not done yet, and I have people tell me all the time "that's a cool lookin' truck!" Yeah, I'll probably die in mine too. I ain't lettin' no one else get ahold it..EVER!

I've got a '75 and love it. But living in Massachusetts, I think you're going to have a hard time finding any GM truck that old that isn't a complete and total rust bucket. /forums/images/icons/frown.gif Back then there were lots of places in the body that trapped mud (and salt). I saw lots of VERY ragged old GM's when I lived up there, and that was in the late 80's. You'll have to go out of state to find a decent one unless you find someone that has just moved there from a salt-free state with one.

Hi guys,

Thanks for all the great feedback! Yeah living in MA isn't great for any vehicle.. there isn't one to be had around in any reasonable condition... I am going to look out of state and plan a massive roadtrip/adventure with a buddy of mine to see the country and bring home a truck! Once I get one back it'll be restoration/prep time to make sure to stop any rust started, and protect her as best i can from any future damage from our wicked fleets of sand/salt spreadahs!! /forums/images/icons/smile.gif

The search is on,
