I allready have a 89' 4by crewcab srw thats a HUGE project that I put on the back burner, and I am currently working on the 73' blazer rock rig, and thanks to you it looks like I'm going to have to start on my 89' 4by 1/2 ton sub that I PROMISED my girlfriend I would not touch, its suposed to be my new DD, THANKS ALOT MAN!!!... :D just kiddin, man that is a baaad ass sub though! nice pics.

hey thanks again for yalls good words about my junk- as to PHEONIX- its a stock 84 burban wheelbase i havent changed that yet- key word YET. see ya Ryan

Cool!

So that's the stock rear sheet metal then? Was the 2' cut out from behind the rear doors then and the body welded back together? Do the barn doors still work? It seems like the body would need some extra bracing along the back for the doors to open right with the roof cut off.

I was thinking this would be really cool to do by cutting a sub body at the back of the rear doors and then grafting in the back of a K5 from doors back. Then it would have a removable hardtop and 3-row seating.

That gives more room than a K5 without going all the way to the land-barge rear overhang of a sub. Plus, it gives enough drivetrain length for a doubler and big lift. The whole family can climb inside without having to squeeze behind the front seat.

swee lookin truck... sorta like the love child of A Hummer H2 SUT and Brian Waddel's TTC super burb. :)

That is a neat idea though. Take one chop it to fit, custom glass and maybe a rear hatch from a blazer and then you can remove it for wheeling trips.

Got me thinking now. I just seen a 3/4 ton sub for 1000 down the road a bit.

BTW really nice sub.
