I replaced the stereo in mine with one that integrated a backup camera and bluetooth. I really like it. If you're interested I can look up which one I went with.

I found one on Crutchfield for $250 plus a new dash panel and install kit for another $200. It was a double din Boss audio nav system with backup camera and Bluetooth. I know Boss isn't the best, but it'll do for now. Haven't pulled the trigger on it yet, but I may soon.
The Crutchfield website thinks I don't.Thought you had to get heater controls for an 03 to make the double din fit.

Little more expensive than the one you are looking at. It may have features that you don't care about, but it's been a great system.

Some observations from the trip:
I really wish it had the 6 speed transmission.
There are kits out there to convert your 5spd Alison into a 6spd. Cost between 1500 and 2000 bucks though.

I was going to say this! You’ve spent that much already on oils and stuff!![]()

Mine fit just fine, but mine is a 2003.@ashman how did yours work out?
Crutchfield supplies the metra kit, and after a quick search it seems all I'd need to do with the kit is cut out some of the bracket behind the dash and you're good to go.Might google it. There are a ton of people that have to modify/remove the radio basket, and change it to the 03 and up style so there is physically enough room for the radio. It slides the hvac controls down.
