How do y'all "Overland" in Iowa? Just drive through each other's corn fields and hog farms or what? Got to admit though the VW has got a wicked Mad Max vibe about it.

There's just a WHOLE bunch of dudes that will tell you "I'm getting my rig set up bullet proof, cause I'm going to drive across Alaska!" Or some dumb chit.
LOTS of them running around looking cool with no where to go. Just like all the jeeps here.

I do know one guy at work that drives his jeep out west once a year and does logging roads and mountain chit like blackbear pass and such.
So MAYBE a few get used lol.

Lady I work with built this.
She did a large part of it and only had her husband help with strength type things she couldn't get.

Can't tell in the pic but it has like 1/16" or bigger flake in the paint. Like the 70's speed boat style.

Flake isn't as big as I thought, but it's good sized. And it's not the whole car. It's ghost flames.

Saw this daily driven Jeep while out at lunch today.


The old timer ride looked cool - the rear axle in this thing was huge ! Way bigger than anything you’d expect from a car of this era.
