NON Chevy’s in the Wild

The Bronco was at the same house as the conv LTD - seems to be a dedicated Ford guy.

The BAJA VW reminded me of one very similar to one like it that a buddy of mine built back in high school - that thing was a blast!

I actually think it's an ltd. Most of Ford's stuff at that time was THAT or a mustang lol

Fun fact,
When I was 4 I fell out of the rear passenger door of an early 70's LTD as it made a left turn.
I grabbed the door pull and held on for a bit, then fell and had my left knee run completely over by it.
Right across the center.
I was wearing shorts and had tread imprints in the back of my knee that could be seen for days.
Lost a LOT of skin. But that was it.
Doc told my mom that if I'd been a year older it probably would have shattered my knee.

Irony of it all was on my way to what we call "Safety Town" which is basically like a pre school to teach kids Car safety.
I spent many weeks getting around by being carried or scooting around on my butt, or on a plastic skate board.
Which got me into skate boards, and 9 years later I broke my left arm through the growth plate on one..
:doah::haha:

43 years later I still have a scar from it.

It’s amazing how rubber like and resilient we all were as kids - I can’t believe that I survived all the stuff I did as a kid.
I was the younger brother so that made me the ginny pig for all stunts that were questionable around our house - and I was brave enough and/or dumb enough to try damn near everything.
My Dad caught us just in time before jumping off the chimney - that was an ass chewing and beating that is still with me today.
My brother got his butt tore slap up for thinking of the stunt and I got mine tore up for being dumb enough to go along with it.

We had a 71 Impala that I would lean up against the passenger door. It never opened up on me though - I guess that’s a few points for them old Chevys.

From the other pic I thought it was a pick-up.
The excursion is one Ford I could handle.

That's surprising.
I know Southern Indiana was full of pretty much rust free stuff.
Surface rust, but that was about it.
That was at the full southern tip though.
