NON Chevy’s in the Wild

Saw this F-150 4x4 today after ole NVRENUF and I met up for some grub today.
It was a good look’n truck but the both of us agreed that the wheels needed to go.

I swear, @tarussell can smell this stuff! We were driving down the road and he saw it - in a yard - somewhat behind another truck (you can see the taillight in a pic) - in a neighborhood - we were driving past.

I was just riding shotgun and was able to look around and let my internal radar kick in and spot them cool rides while you were driving me around like I was Miss Daisy…

BTW, appreciate ya coming over and taking a brotha out to eat and get me outta the house for a while !

A few non-Chevys ( I did not consider the Sidekick, or whatever it is, as an actual Chevy so I put it in this thread ) spotted while over at a buddies shop today.

The “Sidekick” look’n thing is being built for an off-road toy for my buddies wife ( fear not the steering hack job will be fixed ) and it’s got 5.29 Yota axles with the almighty Lincoln-Locker out back and a Detroit up front with some form of upgraded birfield axles on 37” Boggers.

The Jeep pic was shown because my buddy just bought the ORI shocks ( $3K used ) off of it for a killer 4-Runner project.

And the ‘56 F100 is apparently just lawn art at this point.

Spotted one of those 1/4 million dollar Velocity Broncos on a test drive ( they are based out of Pensacola, FL ).
I assume that it’s gonna be a woman’s truck judging by the color.
The purple on the chrome bumper is protective tape they use to avoid chips before it’s delivered.

Been hanging out with a group of motor heads lately….generally once a week we get together and bs, and sometimes we work on something.
This is Skips 69 F250 Highboy….a very solid truck. Pretty original still. We tried to put a windshield in it. New thick rubber gasket, new glass, and stainless trim that has to go into a channel in the gasket, then try to get it all in the truck without everything falling apart. Three of us were just trying to get the trim in the gasket which was already on the glass, and we were having a helluva time when Skip said, he was just going to call in a pro.
The pro came and they tried for over an hour and ended up breaking the glass. So round two, two days later. The glass guy gets a new windshield and a gasket without the groove for the trim, puts the glass and gasket together at his shop, and they have it in about 15 minutes after he got there. Skip is going to sell the trim and the gasket that goes w it.

I’ve always loved that generation Ford pickup. Honestly, unless it had a 300 straight six I would re-engine it with a GM engine.
