Is it possible for a tranny cooler to increase firmness of shifts? I just installed a large tranny cooler in series with the cooler in the radiator and I swear the tranny is shifting more firm than before. Is the temp change enough to cause a significant change in viscosity to increase shift firmness or am I just making myself believe it is so.

Thanks

Ira

shift firmness is usually dictated by line pressure. cooler fluid may create more pressure. but then again, the increased volume of fluid to move may reduce line pressure.

hmmm...
