72' and older Ford 100/150s where only 60" wide in the rear. The early 60s 4x4 trucks had Dana 44s in the rear instead of a 9".

I'm picking up a 5 lug d60 semifloat on Tuesday for my xj. 35 Spline shafts and 11" brakes. Its out of a late 60s f100 with h.d suspension. 60" Wms.

I have seen too many broken 8.8s. I'm not a fan of the c-clip junk either. If you want really cheap, swap a 8.25" Chrysler in.

What about a 5 lug 8.8 from under an Explorer? I know they swap them out in Cherokees. I would think they would be about the right width but I'm not sure.

I haven't seen a Cherokee around here in a while. Are they all gone now?

That's what he's looking for. 8.8 from an Explorer or Explorer Sport Trac. The key is that they share the same 5 on 4.5" wheel bolt pattern so the jeep people can use the wheels/tires they already have. Plus they are readily available with the 4.10 ratio.

Moved my shackle hangars a little. i need to relocate the front shock mount on bottom and should have much more flex.

Still no extra cash for an 8.8 swap so gonna have to wait till taxes come back.
