Norcal_Chris 95 Jeep build (Snowball) TH350 gurus

Havnt finished yet. Wife left so I am on kid duty till He goes to sleep. It is in the front and I have the cad so shouldn't be any different than it was

What is this cad you speak of?:dunno:
I ask because I have a '98 TJ Sahara that needs a little help in the diff dept. Would ultimately like to put true D44's under it. But $$$.

The YJs and (some?) xjs have a 2 peice axleshaft on the long side. It comes factory with a vacumn disconnect, but can be upgraded to a cable system.

So the issues with one of these in a tJ is that it can have wierd effects sometimes in snow since it is engaged. But with my CAD (central axle disconnect) i can unlock that side and i do not get any of those effects. Allthough i have heard of quite a few people with Tjs or YJ d30s with the tj one peice shaft that run a locker like this with no issues at all.

Hey Chris, looked through dealextreme's website and didn't necessarily find the ones you have. Found these:

This is the link for em.

Not sure how those other ones that you posted work, plus those are out of stock atm.

Tell me how you like it as far as being streetable. Im thinking of getting this for my D60

i will let you know how it reacts. Oh and check out Basline4x4 if you get that spartan. Only 353.87 SHIPPED right now from them. All the spartans are 15% off right now.

i have a spartan in the front of my xj that i dd alot. the only thing i noticed from stock on the street was a very quiet clicking sound while doing parking lot maneuvers. thats it. no feedback in the steering wheel, no banging, popping.
on the trail....thats another story.

Continue please... How is it on the trail? Im thinking of putting it in my Dana 60 which i will be running no bigger than 42''s on probably ever.

actually i have a lockrite in my d60 that i wheel on 42s. i havent heard a peep from that thing, ever. it works good though. i put that in about 6 years ago. no problems.

the spartan works fine so far. it sometimes makes a loud bang/pop when one tire is sliding and the other isnt. but thats it. it was one of the first mods i did, and the best so far on the xj.

but...there is always a but. since the xj is a 5spd, i have a hard time taking off from a stop on slippery stuff (snow, ice, ect) the dang thing leaps left or right when i dump the clutch on a banked trail. the k5 doesnt do it since it has an auto and i can ease onto the throttle. thats really it though.

Soo I couldn't wait... Went to prairie city after work.

This locker is so badass it's not even funny. Pics!
