Hey y'all, put my fuel cell back in, hooked up the fuel lines, and then saw my fuel filter was pretty dirty so I took it out and cleaned it and put it back in. After doing all this, I am not getting any fuel to my carb, or my fuel filter. I took out the fuel filter again and saw the "in" end had some crap in it so i cleaned it out but still not getting any fuel. I still have a mechanical fuel pump. Do these get clogged and prevent fuel from getting pumped? It worked fine before I took out the fuel lines to do my rear 4 link. Any help is greatly appreciated! Am I just gonna have to nut up and remove all the fuel lines and manually flush them out to see if there are any blockages? or is my mechanical pump jacked and I should just get an electric fuel pump? Thanks! I know its something in the fuel lines because I sprayed Carb cleaner in it while turning over and it caught and started for a second. also, obviously not getting any fuel in the carb.

I would bet it's your fuel pump. It's just a diaphragm pump.

Is your filter before the pump or after

What kind of crap was in the fuel line.

Might wanna try and fill the bowls of the carb and get it to run for a second. Fuel pump may need primed and that's the easiest way to do it

Filter is between the pump and the carb. Like gel, silicon type stuff. Its from the fuel cell gasket when I installed the fuel level sender in it. Yeah, I didn't think about having to prime it. Whats the best way? Just pour gas into the carb and into the fuel line and crank it?

I just manually squirt gas into the carb. A drink bottle with the push close type top works well.

My kids like bug juice so there's usually one of those bottles around

Haha genius! Yeah I'll try this later today. Thanks!
