All I can say is that this was BY FAR the best $800+ I have spent on my truck! It floats like a cloud compared to the old shot suspension:woot:

So I guess this will become another thread showing the usual build process to go through, first off I'll start with the package...

ORD 4" shackle flip
ORD HD greasable front shackles
ORD greasable bushings
ORD 4" extended brake line kit
Tuff Country SX8000 shocks
Tuff Country 4" EZ ride springs w/ U bolts
Skyjacker drop pitman arm

next was to disconnect the shackles and grind off the rivet heads and knock them out, the 5lb sledge did the rest

cleaned up the frame and sprayed on some zinc chromate followed by a couple shots of rostoleum, drilled out the rivet holes and bolted up the shackle flip kit.

the rear brake lines took the fun out of everything, so the fittings got chopped out and replaced along with the hard lines getting re flared

after all the shackles and spring hangers were tightened up it was time for the rear end to come off the jack stands

before I got ahead of myself it was time to take care of those shock bushings, they start a little easier with a small bevel ground on one end and some grease to make them slide right in

Bolted up the rear shocks with their included mounts, and after some grunting moaning and swearing got the fuel tank all hooked up and strapped in followed by the skid plate

now it was time for the front end to go on the stands and get nuked...

the factory shackles were a PITA to disconnect, the bolt on the passenger side would slide out and hit the y pipe and the bolt on the driver side would slide out and hit a linkage, so those were chopped off including the damn bushings:doah:

rear attachment points on the new springs had to be knocked out to accommodate the larger greasable bushings and bolts

having a second pair of hands would of helped getting the front axle aligned with the pins on the springs, but after tugging, pushing, moaning, and swearing I got 'er whipped :thumb:

Brake lines went on next, these came apart easy and went on easy, the front banjo bolt was different but the old ones were slightly bigger and had a machine fit

The front quads were frozen solid with rust, to they ended up being torched off and pounded out, turns out I pounded a little too much

Finally it was time put on the tires, bleed the brakes and roll 'er out of the shop :D

with the rear stock HD springs it sits about a 1/2" higher in the rear....

unfortunately I assume the slight vibration I now have is drive line related, is it me or does this look a little steep? :dunno:
