Now rolling on my 4" lift

I sure feels good, doesn't it? Pretty soon, you'll want to run 38s and will be upgrading to a 6in and cutting sheet metal :)

Sweet thread, let me pause and wipe the drool...

I love your lift, looks great and you got the good stuff too!

Your driveline vibration is coming from a now skewed pinion angle.

You can search the Enternets, or CK5 for more info, but the jest of it is, the rear angle should be within three degress of the transfer case angle.

You should measure them both and calculate how much rotation you need for your rear axle, then order that degree shim, install between the axle and leaf spring, and your vibrations "should" go away. I am currently dealing with the same issue.

Oh, I forgot to mention, your drive shaft is now too SHORT. If you look at your slip yoke coming out of the transfer case you should see some shiny area, that is what USED to be inside the xfer. With the yoke coming that far out, it is riding on the output seal of the xfer case, so get your drive shaft lengthened, or order a new one with the correct length.

Good work-
Andrew

it is now shorter than it was, but im gonna say that its in pretty damn good.
theres at least 75% of the slip inside the case.

Hell yea! I can't wait to get my hands on a d60 and 14bff with 4.56s, that's when the real fun begins :D

WOAH!!!!!!!!!!

built not bought!!!!!!!!!

find a d60 and 14bff... and add them... paired with detroits... then u know what you got!!!!!

side note im loving this smilie tonight

very nice thread, thanks for takin the time to post it. i'm looking at buying a 3" kit from them too.
you didn't mention dropping the transfer case, was this not necessary? i know i dropped mine on all the 2.5 lifts i've used in the past and as Dieselwarrior mentioned i used something like 3* shims too, don't remember exactly........now you got me all excited as i got to see this kit somewhere other than their website, and i'm impressed with what you get for what you spent. cheers, Bill

my tcase was dropped 2" when i had 13" susp lift... now im gonna get rid of it... with 8"... dont see it needed on 2.5......

unfortunately i thought i could get lucky and skinny out of it:doah:, the angle at the slip yoke has to be the cause of vibration, so ill see if i can get angled shims for the T case or just fab some up myself

I am dumbstruck how soft and flexy these EZ rides are :eek1:, now the front end flexes more than the rear:doah:

well it looks good!!!!! :waytogo:

i got superlift leafs...
no good flex pics yet.. ill get some once it is back on the road...

in about 1984, when i was often going on long trips i had some vibrations in the rear and someone told me to drop my case, i did about 3/4 inch........vib went away and i stuck with that recipe. i'll be doing something similar again soon.
