NP203 linkage Q

In order for a twin stick shifter to work the np203 would need to have a part time kit. I wouldn't use a twin stick kit on stock np203
Mine is part time, but if a twin stick isn't available i wait...and wait.
I've been trying to bolt up my front driveshaft after a recent retube. Sombody misplaced the 4 bolts that appear to be 5/16-18 thread going into the CV joint. However, none of the coarse or fine threads will go in more than 3.5 or so turns. Are these a apecial thread ? Anyone ?(76 k5)

I have a 77 np203 front flange somewhere. If I can find it I will check the fastener size

Mine is 7/16"-14tpi
This look like yours? Came from a 77 k20 burb, I myself pulled.
Threads were a little rusty try a tap gently or thread chaser.

Nope mine thread from front flange, backwards into the cv joint and definitely are not as big as 7/16.
I'll shoot a picture and see if it makes more sense...

Btw, just tried a tap and got 4-5 threads in. 5/16-18.
But all 4 do the same thing. I'm wondering if my local "professional s" mucked up the threads with paint. (It took em 3 tries to modify the driveshafts to the correct length)

That looks like the drive shaft I need to clear the 700r4 oil pan.
How long is that shaft and size of caps and across?

This the 77 drive shaft.View attachment 449636
As John stated yoke v/s flange styles - Wes has the ( around 1977+ there was some bleed over on some applications for a year or two ) Saginaw style CV and the other is the ole Spicer style.
If I recall correctly the Spicer bolts you are needing have an extended shoulder that feeds a little into the female CV component and helps kind of like a version of a dowel pin with threads for retention.
Might need to get some from a boneyard - does not need to be a Chevy; Spicer stuff was whored out to ALL domestic auto makers back in the day.
