Nobody said you couldn't wheel one, but it seems the main reason guys swap them out over a 465 is for the overdrive for better mileage as a driver. Both have the same gear spread anyway, wheeling either the 465 or 4500 should feel very similar from what I know, meaning I don't think there is much if any gains on the trail with a 4500 over the 465, it's cruising down the highway at 65mph and 2,200RPM's or so that is whats gained, and the main reason why people want them from what I know.hi pinion said:Yeah right the, NV4500 is a cool deal, who says you cant wheel with a NV????![]()

yeah me to speed limit is 75 on the highways down here(and you get passed if ya don't run at least 80) So O/D is greatly helpful It's alot like driving a SM-465 (a bit smoother shifts) first gear feels the same as do the others. OD would be very nice seeing how I like to drive 85ish which is like 3200rpms. That does a number on the engine after holding it at that rpm for an hour.
