So i took a trip yesterday and noticed a vibration i wasnt going all the time it was eventuall, sometimes on sometimes off and it was light but you can notice it, so driving i tought id grab the 4wd lever and feel it and it felt vibrating but i thought it was normal due to the engine, but thinking about it im not sure now. wheel bearings are ok, the other day i changed brake pads they seemed ok, as for the driveshaft the vc joints feel ok, no play there, so what else should i look in to

Could be :

Tire and or wheel , untrue , or out of balance

Driveshaft , untrue or out of balance , or joints not at correct angle

something loose like a mount or crossmember

Axle shaft or housing bent

Anything else I couldn't remember

OR

Just an old truck :thumb:

have u checked the rear u joints? be sure the lift ur rear axle up to take the tension off of them before u try and wiggle the d-shaft.

Id go with old truck..

How can i lift the rear axle, if i use a jack wouldnt that be the same thing, could the yokes cause this

ya, u just want to get the tension off the driveshaft, just jack it up under the diff. (make sure the block the front) and then u can check the u joints.
