Hey guys. I just got back from an offroad trip in PA, which is the first time the pumpkin has seen any decent trails in a while. The truck performed as I expected with the exception of the carb.
I have a holley 600 electric choke and vacuum secondaries and while it was better then the edelbrock I had in the past, it left a lot to be desired. any substantial hills left me in the throttle to keep it running, which is to be expected from a stock carb.
I was wondering if its worth it to lower the float positions a little and extend the vent tubes? I have read good things about the motorcraft 2100/2150 2bbl and was wondering if anyone has any experience with them? I would like to get rid of the gas sucking holley, but if I can get decent performance from it I would consider keeping it.
and btw, I wanna squash this before it starts...... Im not interested in injection or propane hahahah
