OFFICIAL* Dante's Peak Suburban Build *

Things are coming down to just needing the Trans4mer or getting the measurements and pics of mounting. Things are starting to look up on this. We might actualy have a CK5 Dante's Peak Burb! This has started out as being a true brother hood operation. :thumb:

It is a 1987 from the door sticker and the verify sheet from the sell using the vin 1gkev16k6hf that it is a 1987 Chevrolet V10 with a 350 TBI. We know it is an automatic transmission from the movie and Cinema Vehicle Services pictures.

Well I just found out the original truck was in a TC. Not know if it was salvageable or what the out come was will find out more on Monday.

Hm whouda thought! Maybe one of us Nebraska guys can go try and get some pics or something at some point. Pretty neat!

I also got a little blessing from WARN

Now if I could just understand it all! I know it is measurements for the center of the holes. I think....

that is so cool!
too bad it doesn't give the perimeter dimensions...

Let me find it , but there was a school doing a fall guy truck clone and they had a CAD file for the warn transformer bumper , as they had made a recreation for there truck

With those drawings (even without overall dimensions) it is easy to blow those up to full-size and trace them out onto some steel for cutting.....

Easy-peezy.

I'm glad to see this thread. This is EXACTLY what I hoped would happen when I first posted those Dante's Peak reference photos all those years ago. Good on you for taking the initiative to build one for your very own! :waytogo:

how would one do that...?

I'd be interested in making one myself...

Its all just dimensional take the actual measurement between the holes figure out the ratio then blow the pic up to that size and you have a full size model for the side guards

Different front guard set up. I did get the pictures of the correct brackets for mounting and the measurements I needed. On another note I found another Con-ferr rack here in Colorado that is 60Lx48W for less than I paid for one in Idaho.

I am thinking once I get a trans4mer made one will show up locally. No new updates.

I called and emailed. Now I need to find some one to ship it for me. That is perfect I will pay the $100 no haggle if it is the right width. :thumb:

If it's inconvenient for cucvfreek, lemme know, as I'm also local to it.

OK I spoke with him and he is working 3 hours north of SF this week and won't be home till Friday. He said he would email me the measurements when he gets home. So if it fits and I buy it that leaves getting here. I need to pony some extra and see who is going to Moab for BB from out there.

I just made a Facebook page for Dante's Peak Suburban so every one go like it and I'll add you as friends over there.http://www.facebook.com/pages/Dantes-Peak-Suburban/258675724276735

I spoke with a persons agent in LA today and I need to send them a packet on truck. They thought the person would autograph the glove box door. I will also be contacting another persons agent on Friday about the same.

I spoke with WARN and they will try to help me find a substitute for the head light guard or a way to cut one and adjust to fit. Might even get a bunch of decals to hand out when we go to Wallace Idaho.
