He has to keep it and show it off as per the agreement of donated parts! We know he's a stand up guy and would not go back on his word! Now get out there and represent us as CK5ers and show it off!

Everyone in this thread wants you too~! :waytogo:

I have a 1" add a leaf on front and 2.5" blocks on rear. I think movie had either 4" or 3" lift. but the truck was only nine years old at the time too!

Update

Bringing this thread up to date.

Lawrence has run into several problems over the last several months. The Forest Service Truck project is on indefinite hold, his housing situation is deteriorating, and the DP Burb appears to have gone kaput as of yesterday (among other trials). :( Don't know much aside from nasty sounds and metal shavings in the oil. :doah: Three weeks ago we were out there and could have helped him, but at this point he's alone in the mountains and getting to the point where he's not able to maintain the truck. He has been talking of raffling the truck off to someone able to care for it, but I don't think plans are set yet.

He does want to get the truck onto the Jegs and LMC catalog covers, as one final display before he has to pass the mantle on to someone else. But further mods & repairs are getting less and less feasible.

He's still living on a shoestring, so renewing his membership has not happened. I have a request in to sponsor his membership, so I'm hoping he will be back on here soon.

if he needs a engine / and members close offer to install it .

I can kick in a few bucks for sure . :thumb:

Plans are volatile to say the least, but it sounds like he is going to start pawning stuff to try getting his hands on a new crate engine. But his real problem is that he does not have any way of getting it installed.

I sure wish this could have coincided with my trip out there. That would have made things soooooooo much easier. :doah:

On the bright side, I'm no longer concerned with how rich the exhaust was smelling.
