Somebody buy his rig. I have seen it where he has it parked by the highway. It looks like a good rig for someone to keep going with or for somebody just getting into the K5 scene. Pass the link on to your friends or anyone you know is looking for a wheeling rig. If we help him sell this thing then maybe we will get to see some progress pics.

Shall we do a CK5 collection to help get some purchases made for this? I'll pitch in $100 to get it started!

Lost internet for a few days guys! Sorry. Here is an update.

I am getting the truck ready to send for paint next week. If any one in the area wants to come down this weekend and help get things off I would welcome the help. I meet Thursday with the painter to get complete list of what he needs.

I have sold Blackie and that money will cover all but $500 of the painting. Any one that wants to help get trim off and get it ready pm me.

OK we go under the gun next Wednesday and it should be about a month on it. The painter will keep it a little longer to keep the truck inside after he is done. To keep frost off it.

Spent a good amount of time going over what he is going to do and making sure no repeat of the Graham incident (sounds like a line from a movie "we don't want a repeat of the Graham incident"). Once done we will put the rear quarter glass windows in and the new windshield. The installer is only charging $125 plus tax for the whole job.

The procurement list is as follows....
Rear Tire Carrier $100
Snorkel $290
The LMC parts $250
Old style GI fuel can for rear carrier $??
Correct the roof rack (fix what Roger Graham screwed up) $??

The work list before May 2014
Install snorkel
Install Combo Kit
Install Roof Light bar (need to figure where the relays will go)
Mount the repaired/fixed roof rack
Install rear Tire carrier

Buy shirts is now open.

Well I created a special T-shirt to commemorate our build and its public debut. These T-shirts will be red. The front will have ck5.com on left chest with Dante's Peak Suburban under it and the truck on the back. The cost will be based on how many we have made. You can go here to sign up and then we will notify you of pricing. http://www.customink.com/signup/4kd4z9g8

Minimum order is six and if only those are made it is like $35 each. The more that are made lowers the cost of the run. If your interested sign up and then when it comes time I can give a price and we will go from there.

Update reached a number on shirts. Cost is $29.99 includes shipping to CONUS you can order and pay for your shirt here > http://shop.dantespeaksuburban.com/...Idaho-Depot-Days-2014-T-shirt-wallace2014.htm
Secure check out via PayPal and no account needed.

Thanks, I went today and checked on truck the guy with the window company is out of town so the glass was still in. Here are a few pictures. I asked Juan if he needed any thing else and he said a gallon of black to paint the frame. I said I did not have money for him to do that! I only had the $2100.00 and was working to get the other $400.00 He said he would paint the frame at no charge so it all looked good.

They were taking the front bumper off as I was leaving. The areas he has worked on so far looking good! :thumb:

The cost of materials that Martin Senour has donated to date is $1,580.00 retail.

Got it. I also just got off the phone with the Martin Senour rep and he is driving the frame paint to the shop now! On the t-shirts you can use the link or copy and past it in a new window http://www.customink.com/signup/4kd4z9g8

We now have the minimum order of six shirts. The more we get the lower the cost one reason I stretched the date out so far. it says it takes about two weeks to get them done and delivered.

In for a shirt:thumb:

Also, from the screen shots you posted I believe what is on the tire rack is a Con-Fer "clamp style" jerry can holder.
The Tire carrier:
Here is the one in the movie and as best I can tell it is a stock S-10 tire carrier. This is on the list of locating one and acquire it.

.

If you look closely you can see the top clamp and no visible bottom mount. These mounts only work with the Blitz style cans that have a bottom lip. They will not hold a current NATO style can.
You need this:

Not this:

I have a brand new one that I never installed. I liked the clean look of this mount, but in the end I opted for the more secure "basket style" mount on my bumper. Its about 10 years old, but brand new (right down to the 4WPW price tag:haha: ) If you end up with a tire carrier that does not have one, shoot me a PM and I'll send it to you. The cans are about $40 (used) to $50 (new), each. Just don't look at "vintage" ones, mil collectors pay big bucks to get the "right" can.

Please see facebook for the shirts you can not buy or sell in the garage area! When you sign up I get an email. This is just to say hey I want one or two in size (they go up to 6xl). You are not buying one just reserving.

With that said I got some work done over the weekend. I got the receiver painted with cast iron pipe coating.

It is still wet in spots because it is thick. Before I put it on I will have to do the inside of the square tube. Sorry the pictures are not to good.
