I'm telling you that is just an autoparts store cheap part. I JUST put that part on my dodge. It's that "Help!" brand. Came with the screws and latch for like $5.

If you are willing get generic Autozone parts then why not go to the local hardware store and spend 50 cents to pick a couple screws? Just seems like you are going through a lot of hassle.
