Old Iron 2.0

The truck should be getting picked up by the shipper this later part of this upcoming week. I feel good about getting done what I did. Didn't spend much money and it's doing what it's supposed to do.

So now I'm thinking about what's next once it gets dropped off in CO.

Getting the 60 under there is on the top of the list. I've basically got a 2wd truck (3.08 front, 3.73 rear). 60 needs all new kingpin everything and all new brakes.

I want to knock the front axle and steering out at the same time. Wanting to brace the frame and go with a 2wd box and crossover.

Suspension.

The plan is to do B52's up front with 52" springs and 6" shackles. Shackle flip in the rear, 56's and 6" long shackles (Same setup as my last 2 K5's).

Planning on keeping the 3.73's and getting some 35x12.5x17 BFF KO2's.

At some point an LS will go in (I've got the 6.0Land a 4.8L), planning in keeping the TH350/205 that's in the truck. Using an ORD x-member this time... the TNA one that I had on the last K5 was cool but ORD's is simple and straight to the point.

Now with the LS stuff I have everything minus the MSD box to run carbureted. I know everyone on here hates the thought of a carb'ed LS but FI isn't cheap... I've got everything to run propane too minus the tanks (and MSD box) but I plan on driving this thing around a lot and filling up propane tanks seems inconvenient.

Here it is mounted. Used some 7/16" Grade 8 bolts and pinch lock nuts that I had sitting around. It's nice and sturdy.

It had some nasty ass spiders inside of it... ones I've never seen before and that move really fast.

Guy said it didn't have keys but there was a set inside the box that work fine.

Nice! Looks perfect in that truck. Fast spiders suck ass! Fog the shit out of it with spider spray and then follow up with brake clean torch to finish them off. We had black windows galore in Moab but they at least like to stay away til night time and even then they don't like people.

I've never seen as many spiders as I have here... you have to check before you put your hands somewhere that you can't see. My Son and I have both been lucky with the black widows here.

I like to take pics of them. I usually find a black widow somewhere once a week or so.

Kill 'em all....:weapon39:go take a walk around just after it gets dark with a flash light and you will prob scare yourself, my house in moab would have at least 10 big ass black widows all come out around the house and in my garage, anywhere you do not regularly disturb those bastards will set up shop. There webs are easy to spot at least cuz they are just a big nasty mess of web and not pretty at all. I haven't run into anything here in Idaho yet, still pretty cool out though.

Yea, I was out on my back porch a few weeks ago and all of the spiders that like to hide under the siding had came out... was pretty nasty, big fat ****ers.

Of course the fifth digit is also a "C", meaning that cab is from a 2wd pickup.
