Old Iron 2.0

If I had a torch I would use the hell out of it but I'm stuck with my cavemanish ways for now.
It was donated to me with both bottles full. One of the best things gifted to me for sure.
Made short work of the same thing you're up to now
Fire!

Clarksville Fastener down where Wilma Rudolph turns into College, they have EVERYTHING and they're very reasonable.

They make hydraulic hoses and some nice braided stainless brake line in there for super cheap too, I think the brake lines are $9 a foot, not sure if the fittings are included in that price... they look really nice.

Ahh, yes, heard of the place, never been in there. Will be checking it out for sure.

Ran into some issues.

The spring portion of the mount and the L shaped bracket aren't working out too well.

I know that the frame horns are different between '73-'80 and '81-'87 but damn...

Probably just get a set of B52's...

Got bored... rolled some flat black on the frame horns, passenger side firewall and my 14FF diff cover.

Hung the doors and hung a fender on with 1 bolt to see what it will look like sometime in the future.

Gonna try and make these brackets work out.

Cut some stuff, heated and beat some stuff... got some things bolted together the way I'd like then I made a cardboard template for the bracket which will replace the factory L-shaped bracket.

Gonna cut them tomorrow and drill some more holes, probably make some gussets then weld everything together

Yeah, there's word that you are to swap them side to side for best results.
I didn't. So i melted some extra stuff in there with more 6011
:weld:

Do you have pics of yours? I dont see how all that shit would bolt up all the way... Maybe on the '81 - '87 their junk is different.

Not currently. Shouldoutta i suppose, maybe tomorrow

I looked at all the brackets side by side on the garage floor yesterday and they are all exactly the same... I had a set that I removed from my last blazer and they are the exact same as the ones off this blazer. I don't know how swapping them sides would help.

Wondered myself, i just torched mine off and pushed em out. Not smart enough for fancy...
