And I am the guy who talked to the Kid on two different occasions I know EXACTLY what the situation is first hand. I talked to the Kid with the truck twice on the phone and he even told me "wow I cant beleive you would do this for a guy you never even met." The Kid said he didnt need the money he just wanted to sell the truck because he wanted to buy an 65" LED screen for "one of his theater rooms". The only bitch I see on this board is you asswipe.

That's what i'm sayin. I'd look here but god only knows what you'll get. That was clean but you may just find one as nice, maybe not as high and have decent looking interior. As I stated on Facebook that interior was UGLY!

I just read this thread almost all the way through and here’s what I came up with:

There are still people that don’t know the difference between the 88-91 R/V versus C/K.

And it totally sucks that this truck got sold out from under Joe, but dude keep your head up, these trucks aren’t as scarce as people think they are. You may have to look for a decent one at a decent price, (I looked for five or six years before I found mine) but it’s not like you’re buying a 53 Vette. These trucks are out there. I know you probably don't want to hear it now because you're pissed at the situation, but keep at it and you’ll find the one for you.

As posted before, the TH400/gearvendors combo is awesome...unless you can run a 6 speed auto like the allison. My 79 C20 has a nice 385 with a built th400 and gearvendors overdrive behind it. The truck has a ladder rack and a lot of tool boxes on it and I pull a 21' toy hauler trailer with a sandrail in it. There's no way I would do that without being able to split gears. I would take that combo over the 4l80e any day. Now the Duramax/Allison....well I'll just keep dreaming about the day I have one of those.

Good to here someone agree's with me on this. Yeah, the Duramax/Allison truck is way off from my budget too. And priority list aswell. Get out of debt and buy a cnc mill or lathe first, then maybe a truck.
