One Piece at a Time: My 1985 Diesel Suburban

One of the cleanest and nicest builds I have ever seen in person along with off-road capability. Really nice work David!

PS- Thanks for the cold brews and hospitality!

Get her first scratch yet?
Got a couple of nicks on the way out there, but honestly, I'm not looking too hard for them. I'll feel less stressed after I get it PPF'd, but I kind of got burned out on suburban work and need a bit of a break.

The whole thing has been parked since immediately after the show. Between the AZ trip and Christmas travel, I was in town for a total of 8 days through to the end of 2025 after getting home from SEMA, so no chance to do anything with it.

Then, I did a social and general internet cleanse through to December 63rd, but I'm ready to get sloppy with projects and photos. First up, wife gets a gate.

Then, double adjustable jack stands.

Then Charger exhaust. Most of the Vibrant parts have shown up.

I washed the truck. It hasn’t left the OP since after SEMA.

I’m getting over the shiny paint stress, and will register it in a couple of weeks. It’s been off Texas’ books since 2024.

First:
-fix LED tail lights
-add underhood insulation
-level front end to rear so I have usable travel
-fiddle with magnum detent
-find that annoying squeak in the middle seat area
