1 ton k5 built for wheeling and camping.
Nothing special...85 shortbed 4x4, bone stock with a 22re. It needed lots maintenance and a smog, I did get it done and drove it 450 miles this weekend...here is a pic from last spring...

Well now I need to swap my gas tank, buy a new radiator, and insulate the fuel lines near the exhaust and tcase. Then test run it. Swap my doors, tires, and pull my softtop off. Hopefully I can make that trip.

Havent updated this in a year, I did a tear down of the front end...pass side was fine, drivers side got water in the hubs, bearings are rough again. Went to put on the caliper and noticed a crack in the knuckle. Ended up pulling it off and cleaning it to find the crack. Going to recheck the ram and order new knuckles unless I can find some stockers...

Trying to find some new fenders, valance, and grill extentions. I destroyed one on the last trip to fordyce, and a taillight of course. Did score a 91 radiator support and new rear quarter panels from same 91 blazer.

Front end is getting pulled out of the truck, doing new ring and pinion with bearings. The pinion nut loosened up 3-4 years ago and put pinion teeth marks onto the carrier, and the axleshaft seals are leaking too, so if its all got to come apart, might as well...

Might as well...The pinion nut came loose and the pinion hit the carrier years ago, you can see the marks...there is metal debris in the oil still which means it's in the bearings. Just getting new gears and bearings. I'll clean up the carrier and run it.

Was wondering how those marks got there lol .
