operation 1 ton suburban...*Head Unit installed*

thanks for the info... did u use the bolts that came with the clocking rig.. not the studs... cause jaysyak was running a clocking rig on his truck and the damm tcase fell off the tranny. the bolts were too short... so I bought some new ones from mcmastercar to pervent that.. I don't remeber the size of them. I gave roadnotca some bolts he might know the size... anyways, I have plenty since they sold me a pack of like 20something like that... I would be more than happy to send u some if u would like...

are u going to make a new crossmember? I'v been thinking of something like these... I like the 3rd crossmember but I would u 2 square tubings and the case would not hang below the tubing and use a plate between them both...

hey guys, I finally have a new front bumper for the truck.... well more like recycled lol...big thanks to brent (roadnotca) for the bumper.. after having the bumper since last July lol.. I finally had some time to chop it up... I have some hella 5000 lights that I'll be mounting on it along with a high lift jack...I just need to pick up some bolts and I'll mount it up probably on Tuesday since I'm off of work and school that day...

I had done that to my last truck, just a little steeper on the cuts though. I never replied about the t-case bolts.. I am running the ones that came with it. might have to pull it out again since it is leaking even after the last attempt at fixing it.

oh, as for a crossmember, I was thinking of 1"X3" tubing with holes drilled to access the tranny mount nuts and another 1"X3" farther back with a piece of plate between the two to keep everthing protected.

How come nobody knows about this place?
~30 miles North of Mojave.

well I finally had some free time today so I took advantage of this beautiful so cal weather.... I still need to cut off the ends of the bumper... u can barley see a yellow line thats were I'm going to cutt it.... oh yeah I lucked out when I installed the lights. I already had relays/ switches and wires already installed on the sub.. I use to have a roof rack with lights and what not.. so all I had to do was hook up the positve and ground it and I was set... haha so I thought lol... the lights wouldn't turn on... so I checked the all of the wires and the ground.... turns out it was a blow fuse... so I poped in a new one and I was set....

next on the list... I'm going to chop off the rear overhang and cut 3" off of the frame and reinstall my rear tublar bumper.. the reason I'm going to cut off the frame is so I can tuck the bumper real close to the body.. I dont like how it hung so far off the rear of the truck when I had it on....

I'm going to need some new front springs. mine are looking like this *W* I think I'm going to get some TC HD 4" springs... and I'm going to need some new rubber by summer... I decided on some 39.5x13.5x16 irok radials....

Lookin good Justin. I'll be missing that So Cal weather again in another month, but not missing the So Cal crowds. Seems like you just got new tires, man how time flies. BTW, I personally like the ends on the bumper. Are you going to cut the sheetmetal under them too when you cut the bumper ends?

thanks! the front fender fangs are already cut... I do like the ends of the bumper too, but theres a very nice hook to catch somthing or someone :eek1:... as for the tires the fronts are down to the wear bars and the rears do have some meat left on them.... in may I'm going to be getting some new goodies for the burb so stay tuned :D

Aw **** Justin, you made that front bumper look so good; making me want to go to the JY and get another and cut it like yours.:haha:

Looking good man. Looks like we both hit the same bump; afford one end custom, but not the other. It would be nice to have a bumper like your rear, and I bet you would love to have my front. Oh, well.

check out the install....
