Opinions on wheel spacers

I have made threads already
The good ones will be close to $400 you can bet cheaper on Amazon though.

I still have yet to pull the trigger on them.

Steel, good, expensive

Ok , thanks, I'll forego them at this time, lol
People run the aluminum cheap ones all the time. You just have to religiously check them. But I wouldn't trust them. Steel, probably the safest way

I've trusted them for years. Loctite the spacers nuts to the oem studs if you want to. Or don't. Just torque them correctly. That means in the correct sequence and to the appropriate amount. Then, just like we do with ubolts, take a drive and recheck your torque. When they maintain torque, set em and forget em.
Or don't. Whatever I'm not your mom.

I have spacers on the rear of my 05 Silverado. Rancher I bought it from had put them on for exactly this reason, line the front and rear up so it goes through snow drifts and mud better. I didn't even notice when I bought it. 6 months later I got new tires and figured it out. 2 years later now and no issues. No loosening, no vibration, nothing wrong. Aluminum.

Appreciate that info.

Then with so many running these, why the horror stories, user error?
All sorts or reasons. Unfortunately Darwin isn’t right as often as he should be when they stack them and other dumb things

what is consensus on bringing rear tires out to match the fronts?

I kind of don't like it, honestly.

You can tell the body lines were not made for the tires to be out that far in a purely aesthetic view. Functionally, seems to throw crud up the side of the vehicle worse than with them tucked in more.

Best spacer? 14SF. While its a big step up from the 10b, it isn't necessarily as easy a swap as it seems, even if 6 lug.
