ORD bilsteins

I talked with them just now. They said one stabilizer is more than enough and their bilstein will suffice for a replacement of the Rancho. I can if I wanted, get the basic one they have at $42 but for now, the one bilstein will be enough.

Nice
Now you can ditch that Rube Golberg contraption
:D

Ok, ordered the bilstein stabilizer from ORD.. tapped out for upgrades now.

I’m going to keep the second one on there just for the hell of it. Maybe take it off and paint it some god awful color.

I broke my stabilizer on a BFR after I straightened out the tie rod I never noticed a difference with the missing stablizer

Yeah, I probably don’t need it but since I have one there now. I’m just going to keep it and a put a new one on.

Just to post whore a bit, the shock on the left is the fully extended shock I pulled off of my 6" lift. The one next to it is the ORD Bilstein 5125 at ride height for my 4" lift. Should give me some more travel and a better ride.

You mount bilstien shocks in such a way that the label is oriented so the letters are upright.

That's the odd part. I've installed several bilsteins and boot up is always letters up. For some reason these are going to have to get mounted boot down to make the letters right side up.

Body orientation doesn't matter on a gas monotube like the Bilstein, they're pressurized with an internal reservoir and they don't have any gravity dependent parts. White body shocks typically have a valve system in the body that requires it to be mounted down.

Got the ORD shocks in today...
Stoked...
I compressed that old Rancho and it never came back up, is that normal?

I got the rear ones in...
The bolts I took with me for the top front, turns out I don’t like how thin they are. So I’m using the same ones as I should have from the gate go, top and bottom.

I just wanted to use what was pulled off. But oh well..

Sure do look pretty. Plus they came with stickers, so added horsepower is nice.
