I went to put my box brace in and found my oil cooler lines run right threw the crossmember where the brace should go. What needs to be done here?

Got a '90 that I put both braces on and the cooler lines went under the main brace.

A good idea would be sheathing them lines with some rubber or something where it rubs on the ORD piece. I cut my lines before and you lose oil pressure quite rapidly.

that's what I did, hunk of wire reinforced marine exhaust hose wiretied to em as chafe protection...

I just looked at mine, (mines an 80 frame) and that brace is nowhere near in the way. And my lines run above the brace. Could be the year difference though.
