wrong size tow vehicle and trailer for that rig if you ask me.

That sucks.
We were unloading at an offroad park a couple of years ago. The guys with me were in a F-550 tow pig with a 24 foot equipment trailer that had a pintle hook style hitch. They had 2 heeps on the trailer. When they backed the second jeep off it unloaded the front & the pintle came open(no safety pin) and the trailer started rolling downhill away from the tow rig. He was sharp enough to back the jeep off in a hurry to stop the trailer. At the same time the safety chains stopped it also. No harm came to anyone or any rig or the trailer. They learned a lesson though.
BTW I'm not a big fan of pintle hitches. I can;t stand how they move & jerk when you take off or stop.

No pictures but I've seen a ski boat through the back of a suburban on the way to Lake Berryessa a few years back. They actually hit a tree first than the boat slid through the back window, probably lost brakes or came into the turn too hot.
And I was hit by a drunk driver while towing my jet ski back from Clear Lake a few 4th of July's ago, I swerved enough so they missed the truck but nailed the trailer. They we're in a 4runner and it just felt like a slight tug on our 7500lb+ quad cab chevy. I saw them do two 360s in my mirror though and they were lucky to not go off the mountain.

I was pulling my gmc home from the previous owners place on my gooseneck. Stopped by a buddy's place to grab a battery. The drive is gated and makes a sharp turn into the road. I was watching the trailer clear the gate and ran the truck into the ditch at about half a mile an hour. The rocker hit the ground and the bumper hit the other side. The goseneck got into the bedrail on the dodge all the way to the body line. Unloaded my new gmc and hooked up a strap and pulled the truck and trailer out with no further damage. My only accident. Only hurt my bed and my pride.

Front slipped off heading out of pismo 3 or 4 years ago. That was fun
This is SledheadAK and Arcticmania towing mishap. The front rig was a 1-of 5-ish or so Nissan Patrols in the US and was a total loss, the XJ was repaired and is still wheeling
That one looks like some one could have been hurt, where they alright, How did the towrig fair?

I read about that one; if I remember correctly it was a pintle hitch, and either the safety latch on top came loose, or the loop just plain broke off.
The tow rig was a Excursion with 6" of lift and 35" tires, it eneded up with some pretty nasty frame damage
Fairly normal from from about 50 ft , I'll try to find a picture.
Too large a trailer,too small of a tow rig, and improper weight distribution on the trailer . The Pintle hitch did fail but it was from the the trailer flipping over it was not the cause it was a result
this happened at about 20-25 mph as they were accelerating after getting on the highway.

Back in high school on the farm we had a 95 f350 single cab gasser. Use to tow a 40 foot 3 axle all steel trailer with it.
I was jumping from field to field hauling hay bales. Would load up a skid and drive to the field. Load and then haul back to the farm.
One morning I hooked up the trailer and forgot to swing the pin into place and drop it ( gooseneck) got about 20 miles and was on a back country road. Went to make a turn and the road crowned really bad. The trailer popped of and hit the floor. The momentum of the trailer and the turning action ended up folding the bedside over
I took the skid off, used it to lift the trailer to hook back up, then used come along to get the bed folded back up.
Fiddled with it that night and got it straight enough to get the tailgate to latch. Bed had a nice crease

saw this little maneuver happen. it doesnt look as steep as it really is there. i dont think there was any real damage other than maybe the seat cushion

yes it is. he made it almost up to the y. he was trying to turn left up at the top, but it was a sheet of ice. he was spinninig all 4 tires sliding back down the hill.
a guy in our group was stopped at the top. then when he tried to go, sat and spun all 4. no trction. a couple guys had to push him to get some momentum. it needed to be shut down.

Totaled the Suburban. Insurance gave me the option to not total out the trailer.
Ignore the dinky spare. Seems NM claims a trailer tire every time I go through

from the looks of the dodge squatting the trailer was way to tougne heavy for a lifted burb. 
nose had to be riding high, got unstable, started to sway, and away she went just a guess
you gonna buy the burb back and wheel the sheet out of it??

from the looks of the dodge squatting the trailer was way to tougne heavy for a lifted burb.
The burb was stock height. The frame got tacoed up in the middle so it looked lifted after the accident. The stinkin dodge rides like that at ride height. Rear springs are shot.
It happend almost 2 years ago. HP that showed up said that wasn't the first time that had happend in that same spot. There are 2 pot holes in the slow lane on a curve.
