Painting my blazer...

you don't need to block it, just get all the shine off so the paint sticks... you can use just folded up paper to cover more territory than using a block.. ;)

Are you using one of these?

That's pretty similar. I'm gonna try to find someone with a DA sander. Failing that, I'll just use paper.

If you can bring it down to midland this weekend, we'll knock it out. I have a DA, a compressor and want to do a quick and dirty job on my blazer too. Bring that top with you and I'll trade it for the time and energy.

I'll have the beer and pizza available too!!

Later,
Buddy

Thanks for the offer. Once I get my truck back up and running, we'll have to get together. There are a couple other CK5 members that live around here. Maybe we should plan a bbq or something for this summer.

That sounds good. We have a pool and a huge backyard. Just have to be patient about my 3 kiddos. We're already g-rated party central down here. We could make some serious headway on your project.

Later,
Buddy

i just did this not to long ago and heres what i used and this is how it turned out.
4 cans of primer and 12 cans of black, only cause they were small cans. it started out just knocking the rust off the roof, then we got a little crazy with it and did the hood, pass. door and upper part of the body line. turned out better then what i thought it was going to turn out.

That actually looks pretty good. My truck won't look anywhere near that good when it's done, so there's no point in me trying too hard.
