ParkerMP 40Amp Plasma Cutter $299 + $64 S&H & Insurance

Timing and schedule - I didn't think I would have been able to make it over there to pick it up.

Cut some sheet metal today. Any paint prevents the arc from starting. I had to remove the paint for the clamp and a small area on the piece at the cut loction to start the arc. Once started, it cut fine and continued to cut.

my buddy has the parker tig\stick\plasma combo.
It freaking rocks, i dident clean any paint at all, stuck the ground clamp to paint, and the stuff we cut was painted, cut like butter

Finally got a new machine back and it works great they put the turbo option on it for free after all the problems I had. Here is a pic of a piece of Angle Iron I cut today. Went through very well better than I was expecting. I have been TIG welding up a storm I now have a sun burn on my forearms and neck:haha:

I got one a couple of weeks ago and did some cutting but haven't had a chance to use the tig yet, I am pretty happy with it so far

So it looks like I'm possibly getting one for my B-day on the 21st. The wifey said if that's what you want then order it and that will be my gift from her. Looks like the general concensus is that the unit is pretty good for the price ($399 on ebay). Should I pull that trigger and get one?

Well, one thing for sure, I am fixing to start installing a cage soon, prob use my mig to tack everything, then tig everything else. I quess I'll find out what it and I can do, but so far happy with it

Plasma just blew so load right behind me that my coveralls and boots are laying in a puddle that smells just like Pacifico beer. Theres also a hole in the ceiling shaped just like my dome! I guess Ill be trying out customer service which I here is excellent. I was cutting 1/8" diamond plate for the blazer right before I apparently pissed myself.
Anyone else have this happen?

OK, I just couldn't help it. Let us know what happens, But from what I heard from others, customer service was great.

Just got off the phone with P M and wish customer service was always as good as these guys. He had me pull out my fluke 87 and test the board that appeared to be the culprit (board on top). NFG-send it in and we'll get you cutting again! Thanks P M. They are also moving out here to the Pacific N W just a couple + hours from me. I see a tig in the near future.

Uh, oh. Maybe I should move the plasma up on the priority list. I really liked the idea of them being so close for repairs. :(

Finally got my plasma back (yesterday) and will give it a workout today. They just put my cover on a new unit and shipped it back minus the consumables that Joe said he'd throw in for the shipping it cost me... WTF! I even bought their 200acdcs tig welder while my plasma was out for repair. $799 w/$119 shipping. They also forgot to include the tungsten for the "add bottle and go" package. No biggie, had to buy rod and other stuff anyways just wish people would do what they say they will do. Makes me wonder about that "TURBO" upgrade I payed an xtra $50 for. Did they forget that also and how would you even varify its installed? I'll be calling Joe today to find out if they upgraded my new unit or if it is a cut40 like it says. I also need to find out what I payed for shipping on the tig. Supposed to be $119 but I also have a receipt from them that says $199- Hmmm. I must say that over the phone they are very helpful and pleasant to deal with and are probably super busy = forgetful just dont forget my stuff DAMNIT!

Spoke to Jim (not joe, sorry Jim) and my consumables are on the way, the shipping was a typo and all is good. These guys really are 1st rate and actually work hard at good customer service. Thanks P M keep up the good work.

i just ordered a 40 amp plasma w/ the turbo and the 200 amp ac/dc stick-tig. they should be here sometime next week.:D
